Olancha RV Park & Motel

We came here in desperate need of recharging our RV batteries as well as our own recharge from a somewhat stressful trip picking up our RV. The sisters running the place were so incredibly helpful, even offering up supplies we weren't sure we were going to be able to find on a sunday afternoon. Check in process was super quick and easy and the whole place had a great vibe. We decided to get a bite at the cafe after finally getting settled and hooked up, and after letting the wonderful woman know of my allergies, she brought us out such a surprisingly amazing meal. After the stressful days we had, it was such a reprieve, completely blown away. It may not seem like a fancy resort getaway, but it was truly an oasis in the desert, literally and metaphorically. I can't speak to the quality of stay in their teepees or rooms, but I can proudly attest to their outstanding customer service and friendliness. It is now bookmarked as a destination to return to, instead of the emergency RV spot it started out as. My lady and I can't thank your wonderful family enough!

Nice place. Rough around the edges but perfect for a overnight stay or weekend. Good food at the cafe and great staff. If you are expecting a luxury resort, this isn't it, but the teepee room was clean, beds were comfy and the night sky amazing.

It was the unexpected favorite part of my summer vacation. This was night one of going camping in Tahoe and Yosemite. We arrived at 5pm, on 4th of July. The lady working the desk/cafe was amazingly friendly and on top of everything. We stayed in the raven tee-pee and I loved it. It was bigger inside then I thought, the beds we comfy. It was so windy the tee-pee squeaked in resilience and was my personal asmr through the night. The tee-pees are all up on private decks with tables and chairs. There is a small pool to cool off in and a bonfire pit in a communal area. The bathrooms were close by and clean. It was quiet and in the middle of nowhere, and lovely. I would love to stay here again someday! If you book a room here and are expecting a fancy hotel, you only have yourself to blame.

Stay here! If you’re adventurous and love cute spots to stay and not some commercial big time hotel to stay then this is the place for you. As a girl who loves a good aesthetic photo and place to stay, I can assure you that this place was so cute, specifically the teepee my boyfriend and i stayed in. We were driving down from Yosemite when I found this place last minute. I was unsure because of the mediocre star rating I saw but we are pleasantly surprised. The community here is also super cute with many people staying here with their families and having fun. They have shower with warm running water and are pretty clean in my opinion. They also have a little cafe up in the front where you will meet a sweet lady that will check you in. She was super kind and accommodating to my boyfriend and I. This is definitely a place I’d want to come back to. this is a place where you build beautiful core memories.

I was surprised by how great our experience was here. Granted, we got here on a Monday and there was only one other person in a tipi. We didn't have to fight for bathrooms or parking. There must have been others staying in some in of the rooms and were at the RV Park, but it felt pretty private. They were still cleaning up from the weekend. It wasn't dirty, the bathrooms were clean, but some of the trash containers were overflowing and the pool needed cleaning (there were water bugs in it! My son didn't care, though. I saw a pool guy there as we were leaving). She moved us to the coyote tipi, which was near the bathrooms and there were no street lights by this one. It was the first in the line and newer, she said. We appreciated that. the beds were nice, swamp cooler great, especially to block out any noise. There were little porches with tables. The bathrooms near the pool were even nicer. One had rainfall shower and was hot. My son went into the other camper showers which he said was cold for him. I got coffee at the cafe in the a.m. They had food too but too expensive for us. There was corn hole and the stars were spectacular. We stayed up late watching them and the shooting stars. We saw kittens around, too, which my kids loved. The location was great for us, perfect before going to Mammoth to make the drive less stressful. We got there late, but our info for tipi was on the door taped there. It was confusing where to park, but we figured something out The tipis were cool and it made us learn more about the indigenous people who used them. It would have been cool if they had a plaque or information about that to be historical, and even if they build a local native house on the property so we could compare. I am a big fan of experiential learning and not culturally appropriating by giving experiences the honor to the culture in a good way. Seems like a little thing this property could leverage to be respectful , while still giving us an experience. Regardless, we were very grateful to stay there, and very happy with the price. It worked great with a family with teens and toddler.

My hubby & I enjoyed our stay here! We checked in at the Cafe & were greeted and welcomed in by the super friendly hostess. We ordered burgers straight away- we were hungry after hiking in Death Valley! I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger & they didn’t have a GF bun but they had a GF bagel- which may have become my new fav thing as a bun!! Hubby enjoyed his patty melt & we both loved the hand cut seasoned fries!! We stayed one night in the RV park on our way from Death Valley to Sequoia. Full hookup site (with sewer). There are showers & laundry facilities as well. Quiet & safe with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains!

Pulled right into full hookups for rv. Ate dinner in the cafe. Patty melts were great, fries seasoned and yummy. Easy off and on the 395. Would recommend.

It does the job. Perfect spot for star gazing. pretty but there’s no heater. We visited in dec, so it aas very cold, a heater would’ve been great.
